You can now upload images directly into your posts. They must be jpg and less than 5Mb.

Want to know more? Try the FAQs at the menu above "LOGOUT" at the top of the page (I can now edit that file as well!)

Excellent. Your program which reduces the size of the image works really well and produces a nice sharp picture.

Thank you, once again, for your time and effort to make the MMM forum one of the best forums there is.

Hi Nick,
This sounds good but have gone to FAQ as you suggested and the only entry there is "No Categories found. Can't find your answer here? Send us an e-mail."
Is this correct?

Keith,

I have had the same trouble as you (nothing under FAQ) but having been involved with the setup of this facility I can tell you that all you have to do is click on the paperclip (Click here to attach a photo to your post) which is at the bottom of the box where you write your message. You then click on 'Browse' and when you have selected your picture (which must be in jpeg format) you click on 'Attach image' It is as simple as that, the software automatically resizes the picture for the website. The only thing that you must remember is that the original file size must not be more than 5MB and it can take over 30 seconds to upload the image depending on the original file size.

Peter.

Keith,

I should have pointed out that this new picture upload facility does not work if you reply in the 'Quick Reply' box, If you want to upload an image to a post you must use the 'Reply to Topic' or 'New Topic' buttons to do so.

Peter.

You have to be logged in to see the FAQs. Please let me know if you are still having difficulties seeing the FAQs as we may have a problem. I can see them OK. Anyone else not able to see them?

you can also reuse an image that you have previously uploaded. Take a look at the "My Files" menu at the top right to see all the images you have previously uploaded.

Doing this mod has been fun and a very steep learning curve. The program will not allow you to use file names with characters like #$%&*{}[] etc. In case you are wondering why, it is because your image will not display if you do! (Something else I found out the hard way). The same is actually true of parentheses () but I added a bit of software to strip those out of the file name as they are quite common, so don't be surprised if they are not in your saved file name.

Thank you to all those who did the original beta testing. It is so helpful to have critical input as it is very easy to miss things when you are familiar with a program.

Hi Nick,
Yes, I am logged in and I wondered if that could have been the problem as I left myself logged in over night. I logged out and back in again but still no FAQs. I get the window but there are no topics in it. I am using Internet Explorer.
I hope this helps and doesn't cause you extra problems.
Keith
