There is an MG J2 for sale on a French site leboncoin.fr. for €2500 (approx £2100) But it seems that this J2 may have been used for racing, note the dash board layout with large rev counter and J3 layout together with racing tags. Perhaps somebody knows something of the history of this car. Ralph |

Morning Ralph, Robin, It's a "wanted" advert, the interesting looking car is not for sale. Karl |

Thank you gentlemen, my French is at "O" level and I have missed that - although it is a strange way to advertise with such detailed photos and the car is of considerable interest anyway !!! Ralph |

The car in the photos is J3176. It does actually does have a pre-war comp history, having done the 1935 & 36 Bol d'Or amoungst other things.

You had us on the edge of our seats Ralph! Good to find foreign ads being fed to the site. I wonder what little gems lie, only registered in french.

As mentioned on another thread, a 'lifted' photo of a motorcycle belonging to me appeared last week in a www.leboncoin 'A vendre' advert - now taken down.
The virtual world is often just that.

Bob it was your mention of the French website that made me search for MGs Interesting site, and by he way there are two MG PAs on the site, these are for sale one partially restored and one restored. So your comment on this site may yet be useful. Ralph |

This French site seems to be showing some interesting classic cars Have a look at this you racing lot http://www.leboncoin.fr/equipement_auto/547370199.htm?ca=17_s The registration is CMX 743 but I am not aware of the radiator, can anyone help and is anyone interested in it - I know it's not MG but you all seem to have such a lot of info on the racing scene Ralph |

An ex-Bira car, even if only a pile of bits, at € 3000,- seems a good deal to me! Odd how the seller speaks of a post war Riley though, found when he was clearing out his garage ... Dodgy story!
