To find the exact years of each would be interesting!
I think that the bottom two pictures with the M types are 1931, but on two different dates, as the telegraph pole looks to be the same one but the cars are parked in different directions. I do not know Shelsley well enough to comment further!
As regards the cars, JK 1415 has a lot of badges(!), I wonder if he has cooling problems (?) and the door line is very strange! The car was registered in Eastbourne, and their records are in Lewes now, so when the problems are over we may be able to find the original owner!
WM 6858 was registered in Southport and all their records were destroyed. WL 9229 was the works demonstrator and featured in the Light Car & Cycle Car, but has not survived.
Interesting the MG stickers on most of the cars, usually on the headlights, I wonder what they meant!

Don't forget the SA in the second picture which would make it 1936 at the earliest

I think I’m with Mike in that the third and fourth pics could well be 1931 with nothing but F-types, M-types and Vintage models on show. Or could that Salonette all the way in the back be an L-type?
And yes, with both the SA in the second and the TA in the first pic, those two’ll be 1936 at the earliest.

Cracked it - I think. At least the first two images.

Yes, it is Shelsley Walsh, and yes it was the Blackpool Rally! It took place over the 4th to the 6th June 1937.

Mike, I can't find any reference to the pics 3 and 4. It is Shelsley, but looking at the differing ground conditions and models present, I'd say 3 and 4 were taken at an earlier date. But that's only my uneducated guess.

A further archive search unearthed this atmospheric photograph which may have been taken on the same day:

No - wait! That's Pre-War Prescott last year

Actually, it was taken by our daughter Amanda who is a professional Wedding photographer and flew in from Kentucky to join us, along with her two daughters. Every year I receive countless photos from Prescott and the great majority depict single cars, either in the Paddock or on the hill, which are very nice, but often fall short of capturing the atmospherics of the day. I'm certainly biassed, but I think she did a great job last year of applying her Wedding photo artistry to the vintage car scene.

Here's her Saturday photos:
