As a change from colour snaps taken in the recent past, here’s a real puzzler I got sent last night. I have no information at all on it - no date, no venue, no driver.
Any ideas, chaps?

Well whoever it is has gone to a lot of trouble to lighten the car taking off wings, headlights and screen. As it is road registered I would assume that it was driven to the circuit and probably home again afterwards. The strip down and rebuild must have taken a couple of hours or so! It must have been a busy day for him.

This was normal practice at motoring events in Norn Iron and I wouldn’t be surprised if cars were driven to the event with wings and lights already removed! Having said that, the car is Belfast registered and the event may, I understand, have been at Toome, some 30 miles away so one wouldn’t want to get caught out after dark!
