Does anyone have a really good copy of this picture. I'd really like to find a real photo as I want to get as much detail as possible on the second car in the queue. Some of the modern digital prints for sale are pretty dubious quality. Either a high quality scan or an original photo would be perfect. The reason is the second car is my 18/80

When I sold mt 18/80, which Irving Black now has, in 1967 I sold it to a Richard Crump, I wonder if he was any relation.

Great photo John. In some ways it is a shame that values have risen so much. The days of what might almost be called an MG rat-rod are long gone but I love it. I'm sure it won't look like that when it finally gets restored.

Your right Kevin, and it only cost me £15.00.00 in the summer of 1963. Look at the size of the tank on the rear, I worked out that it would take nearly 40 gallons, I was never able to fill it up due to cost and petrol was only about 4 shillings a gallon (about 10 1/2d a litre)

There are two other pictures of the car, RX 7202, on the same event, the M.C.C. Sporting Trial in Derbyshire on the 25th October 1930, in the Vintage MG Yearbook 2001. It was the last event that Cyril Fulford Dobson competed in as his wife Betty was expecting their first child, soon to be Michael Fulford Dobson who went on to be Lord Lieutenant of Dorset.
