Further to the tyre discussion

1. Below is picture of my 1924 Alvis 12-50 competing at a hill climb in 1946. Note the canvas showing on the front off side tyre (Would some kind soal turn the pic. the right way.)

2. Picking up on "pandersons" comments re the PA and its mixture of 4 brands of tyre, I include a scan of an Auto Tyre Services Ltd, the makers of Blue Peter retreads, advertising brouchure which features my HRG.

My Dad obviously had the same driving style as Lewis Hamilton! The car is exactly one year old in this picture and not a trace of tread on the offside tyre!

Thank you to whoever rotated the picture of my Alvis

A lesson learned is to proof read everthing one posts before clicking on the Post New Reply, and correct spelling etc. How embarrassing.

I am still searching for any history relating to my Staffordshire based J type, VT9391 up until it was exported August 1937.
