Willie Mackenzie (Austin Repro - Austin Reproduction Parts Ltd in Dorset) is willing to make the 'bent wire' wiper assembly for the centrally mounted suction wipers, although they’d also fit a centrally mounted 'modern' electric wiper motor. I’ve agreed to let him have my set (see photo) as a template and John Emmett has also chipped in with some technical drawings. We’ve also provided Willie with the drawings from our Dutch friends' site.
All we need now are customers. Willie reckons he’d need at least 6 to 8 customers with a price of perhaps around £120-140 although clearly that’s only a very rough estimate at this stage.
If anyone is interested, could they initially indicate their interest here and then if the numbers are looking good I can pass the project over to Willie. And just to be clear, I have absolutely no financial interest in this - I just think it would be nice to have these delightful items available for those who like the minimalist look of the early cars.

Noted, Ian, many thanks.
I have now taken my set off the car and it’s on its way to Willie for him to see what’s involved and confirm things for everyone. That will probably take a week or more by the time he gets it so plenty of time for others to express interest. And of course if everything goes according to plan, Willie will be dealing directly with the orders, payment, etc..
Watch this space!

Thanks, Eric, duly noted. I think we now have more than enough interest for Willie to work out the feasibility, and the price.
Thanks to all who have expressed interest and once Willie has come back to me I’ll let y’all know.

Not related to this thread but those seats still look incredibly good I noticed. Keep looking after them :-) Perhaps you could share any products you have used on the leather?

The photo was taken over four years ago but they still look like that. I occasionally apply some Autoglym leather care to them but otherwise just sit in them! They look great - thanks James.
