L0397 MG Car Club Beaulieu Meeting 1973
Through my research, I have already, as 1/2 year ago, found another image. Think this will be interesting for the register.

Provides information and documents from the new owner

I would have been at that Beaulieu meeting all those years ago, there were always loads of MGs of all types in attendance.

Happy days and no COVID

Hello George, thank you very much.

I posted the picture because I discovered one too six months ago. I then had telephone contact with the previous German owner, who is often in Austria.
It would be nice if the picture found a place in the register.

This particular L1 was owned by the late Bob Figenskau in Minnesota (USA) in the 1980s. I personally carried the head back to the UK for restoration by Roger Thomas when I was transferred there in 1983. The car is also pictured being driven by Kenneth Bear in 1933 on page 66 in Rivers Fletcher's book "MG Past and Present".

There is also a nice photograph of Kenneth Bear in APH729 at the Chalfont St. Peter Hill-Climb on 26th May 1934 on page 19 of the 2015 Yearbook. He was slowest M.G. out of six entries - but you can't have everything. Hey, ho.

We worked on this car L0397 about 2005 if memory serves me right. A few steering related items, and I think a new bonnet was fitted too, then it went to Italy. I think it went to Germany after that, after having had an engine rebuild in Rome, which we supplied parts and information for.
