Hello Richard, I can offer a complete rear mounting unit for the TF 201, without the cover for the bulb, in very good condition. £50 plus p&p. Powerplus. |

If all else fails there is a repro light - MT211 - readily available for about twenty quid on fleaBay which is very close to the TF201. This photo shows the TF201 in the upper two pictures and the MT211 in the two lower pictures.

I think I have the bulb cover somewhere so you should be able to make up a complete unit. Will email you via forum |

Simon, the two "original" bulb covers in your photo look different in the way they attach to the base ? Rich |

Rich, there are two different TF bases but I don't know if the one on the right is later or if they were produced at the same time. The left one is M style though. |

Rich, You could well be right. They were just photos I had acquired (not the actual lamps) to use for comparison with the repro MT211 which is a motor bike light I believe.
Bill, I’d have to say your light doesn’t look to be correct - the mounting bracket should be a circular one And there should be a chrome rim around the lens.

For road use, self preservation and legality demand an M-type has extra lights which were never fitted when it was new. I wonder if the pursuit of TF201 tail light which looks only slightly different from the MT211 is really cost effective.
Spot the difference.

I wonder what was the point of the ring of holes on the outer flange of the original TF 201 tail light ? One would have thought four at most would have been sufficient. Just curious. Chris |
