Does anyone know what MG model had these headlamps fitted as standard? They are the lamps from my L2 magna which I'm fairly sure are not original, and I'm also fairly sure they are not MMM.
Thanks Terry and Simon, They are 9" dia, I'm not sure what diameter was originally fitted to the L types as standard. SA ? its certainly the period I thought of, surely the central vertical bar with the octagon and the MG logo should identify them but so far I can't find any pictures of cars with these. Cheers, Mike
Terry, On further investigation I think you are right , they look like their from the SVW range of cars of the late 30s
The standard L2 light was our old friend, the 8” Rotax K624. L2004 was ordered with the 9” lights and they do seem to have the vertical bar but possibly not the MG badge.
