I've had a reply from Tom Wilson who's prepared to make some more P Type carpets, but appart from myself and Umberto, he requires a minimum order for 4+ - quote below from Kimber0251@gmail.com

"If there is enough interest to commit to four carpets for P type, I’ll do a run in February. Pricing is USD$530 plush shipping. 50% deposit when order is placed and confirmed, and I’ll have to do all the carpets at once. Umberto Ferrari needs a set, so that’s two. Why don’t you contact the “few others” on the forum and see if they are ready to buy carpets."

Hopefully there are others who need new P Type carpets, please.

Dear Bruce,
I've just emailed Tom over 5 leads for P carpets to see if any still require.

The other 2 in my P carpet folder were yourself and Umberto. I've now deleted it as I won't be making any for the forseeable. Interms of those, I'm out now.

Hope you get sorted :-)

I would appreciate it if a single piece, the PB gearbox cover carpet could be supplied, long enough to use the lift a dot pegs on the firewall.

If it helps, the whole shipment could piggy-back on one of the monthly air lifts we do from Chicago.

I'm currently not setup to, can't and don't wish to make Carpets for PA/PB 2 seaters.
To help you and others find a solution, I am willing to loan my patterns for a long time if you can find a trimmer who thinks they can and wants to make them, preferably in UK.
Good luck, James.

I have a PB and I will be looking for a carpet set in the near future.

I’ll be sending the PB to a company local to me for the hood. They often do carpet sets too. They made a great job on my MGA. I could ask the question, especially if there is more than one set & the patterns are available .

Kind Regards

Richard

Hi Richard,
that is great.
So far there is you, Bruce Sutherland in USA and Umberto in Italy both on forum.
Can I ask you to start a list please?
Send this link to your trimmer https://www.triple-mregister.org/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=11746
last P carpets I made in 2017.
If they want to do it and have sufficient numbers I'm happy to send when we get to that point.
I've emailed my contact deets to you.
Kind regards James

Elliot Burns in Australia also wants one, add him to the list meburns66@bigpond.com

I'll provide patterns but want no other involvement please. I need a P-type owner/owners to take ownership of the project.

Having organised the shipement from teh USA of the last batch made, by Tom Metcalf, I can only assume that if another batch is to be made, that is where to look.

Hi Ian,
Tom Wilson would be the logical choice.
The last time I heard from Tom he was restoring a bunch of his own cars and the only trim he would be making was for those.
Feel free to send him the link to this chat. He has same patterns as me that came from an Orig P carpet set.
Cheers James.

I’ve heard the same thing from Tom, but would be interested in a P carpet from another suitable source.
