Having read Dick's post above again, I realise it's not just a "wind up" we have strayed seriosly off piste.
This remindes me of the old addage that reality is but an apirition precipitated by a dearth of alcohol. This encoraged me to take a schooner of sherry and, if it's not a gaff, to raise a red flag as a bulwark against being blown off course. To take another tack perhaps we should stick to his original question regarding Suffolk.
Perhaps time for me to stop writing bilge and jack it in. (for now.) |

Time for an update, methinks!
We are still rehearsing the possibility of a touring event, probably HQ'd at Bury St Edmunds, a 3 night stay with two days of touring. Possible date slots might be:
16 to 19 May 2023 or 27 to 30 June or 20 to 23 September or 10 to 13 October
I am in contact with the hotel that has been used for similar motoring events, most recently the MGCC Vintage Register tour last month and expect to visit on Monday to check it over.
To help us gauge the level of interest (we'd like 30 + participating cars!) we now need expressions of interest (no commitment yet!) in the event and ESPECIALLY how many of the above dates might work for you.
As time is pressing an early response would be appreciated please - either replying here or by direct e-mail to me at secretary@triple-mregister.org
Many thanks Dick Morbey, Register Secretary PA-PB 0743 Frieth, Oxon, UK secretary@triple-mregister.org |

Dick,
May or September for us. The June dates are close to Pre War Prescott but not close enough for us to combine both into one trip across the Irish Sea. And October strikes me as being a bit late in the year in terms of weather. At least it is here in Norn Iron - too likely to be wet and cold!

Suffolk or Norfolk location is fine for us but the 29th June to 1st July is Classic Le Mans which like us may clash for some people. |

Great to hear this is possibly going ahead. In terms of dates, May is good for us and September may possibly be but not sure yet.

Thanks to everyone who has replied so far.
Simon, picking up on your point about Pre War Prescott, if it would work for people, maybe we could consider July 11 to 14 or perhaps July 10 to 13 as possible dates?
Alternatively, if people preferred to have the event just before or just after MG Live Silverstone, might that be of interest? For example: June 5 to June 8 or June 12 to June 15?
The Register wants to put on a good show at Silverstone, so an organised drive in from Suffolk to the event (96 miles) might be an attractive option?
Let me know what you all think and in the mean time I will mention all of these possible dates to the hotel when I see them on Monday.
I hope that the above helps rather than confuses!
