My newspaper today had an obituary for Alain de Cadanet, the racing driver who died at the beginning of this month.

Apparently his first car was an M-type.
Anybody got any idea as to which M this was.??

The little story accompanying this tells that the old chap selling him the car, pointed out a switch down by his right leg. If you move the switch the engine will stop, This was very useful when out with a young lady.
You could then cuddle up to keep warm in the roofless M-type.

Sadly there wasn't one my car = I suppose it is a little too late to install one now.

Sad news.
I suppose everyone has seen the YouTube film of him standing in a large field as Ray Hannah approaches VERY low from behind in his Spitfire?

Very sad - didn't realise he was 77. Great guy.
