Information about this car was sent to me by an Austrian T-Type acquaintance. It sold at an auction in Vienna back in July for the equivalent of 25,000 GPB.
It was said to be registered, running and road legal.
Extensively campaigned in trials by its first owner (Mr Allen) the trail goes cold when he must have sold it in 1936 and moved on to a P-type.

Thanks John. J3025, perhaps?
The details of the car from the Dorotheum Auction site seem to tally.
Does your contact have any idea who the present owner might be, please?

PS
just saw the caption after I checked up on this car. They always say you should read the exam question carefully!

In answer to Dick, no... my Austrian friend does not have any details of ownership. I know he would have liked to have bought the car, but he already has a TC and a Mark II TD and he would have found it difficult to justify the purchase to his wife. |
