Dear Forum:

Does anyone know the Registry number for the 1932 F Magna Sallonette
green and cream livery in the Cars for sale section?
The owner for reasons unknown has failed to post this information.
I like to match photo and numbers together.
All the best.

Used to be green and black with 2 spare wheels? I think you might identify it from Ian Ross' website - magna.org.uk... F0316 and No 12? Dim memory tells me the registration was TM something...

I note the absence of glove compartments...

Cheers

That's a healthy price for a Salonette for sure ... as Peter says, the dash isn't quite right though ... this is more like it -->

Dear Chris, Peter L. and Forum:

F0316 is the one.
Thank-you.
The two spares are still there .The photos just show them.
The original livery was green and black.
Cream and green is quite appealing.
As for dash a replacement? Or was there an option for no glove box?
Full marks.Again.
All the best.

John, many years ago I owned a very original F1 salonette (now owned by Tim Edwards) who has had the car for a very long time.I think the registration number is WO 6252 from memory. It is still in it's original black and green and a very attractive car in my opinion. I am pretty sure the dashboard is exactly as in the photograph with the two glove boxes. It is very well maintained by Tim and I very often wish I had never sold it.

Dear Chris(Westbury) and Forum:

Thank-you for your latest post.
The devil is in the detail.
I have nothing against green and black livery.
As you say more original too..
For the repenting at leisure gambit you are not the first.
Thank-you again.

The car is F0316 and Register number is 12 - I wonder who owned it when the Register number was issued at the founding of the Register?

It might have been E D Reynolds - I have no paper file on the car.

There are early photos of it somewhere, I think it had a J2 as stable mate... and the owner was a name we all know... just can't quite remember...

cheers

Ah yes, Brian and Foz, thank you. I must have contacted him when I first got mine. Still have the letters somewhere, would have been my first contact with the club and it is still as friendly and informative, and my salonette is coming along, courtesy of Tim Miller... will be out soon.

Cheers

Great to hear that the salonette is on it's way to a full recovery Peter ... got any recent photos of the restoration to share with us? This was the status of mine back in August ... not touched it since whilst working on the F2

The F Magna for sale could be F0316 which had the registration TM9731 and had windup windows and was green and black. The car was owned by Les Earl,Dermot Reynolds, and Bill Allbright. It then went on to the continent and came back a few years ago green and cream.A dealer in Gravesend had it for sale a couple of years ago.
