I thought you may like to see a few photos of the four day rally held at Yamba in northern NSW recently. This was based at the Angourie rainforest resort where most of the participants were accommodated. The Saturday was a street display in Yamba followed by two days of non-competitive rallies through the local areas which involved ferry crossings over the Clarence river and tours through sugar cane fields.
Cheers, Matthew. |

Hi Mathew
Thanks for sharing the pictures, looks like you had a dose of wet English weather judging by the photo of Ross in his lovely J3.
Were there many 6 cylinder cars on the rally - I was wondering if Ralph Leach from Brisbane was there with my old NB (NA0960) which he now owns?
Regards
George |

Hi Ross
Thanks for the photos, what a lovely selection of cars.
I will add the photos of the 6 cylinder F/L/N types to file for each car.
Pity my old NB was not in attendance.
Best regards
George |

The M-Types - Looking at the front of the cars from left to right are:- 2M2551 - M1524 - M1523 - 2M0872 - 2M2824 - ?? oop's, don't know this one ?. For some M-Types, this was their first appearance at a National Pre-War Rally. 1523 & 1524 were "chassis only" exports to Australia.

Tony, My car is 2M 3328 not 2M 2824 although it probably contains bits of 2M 2824.

The M-type on the end of the line up is 2040, imported new into Melbourne by Lanes Motors and recently back on the road after a complete restoration |

Thanks for the corrections. I should have checked the register, not the website. I'm hoping for a neat dozen M-Types in 2 years time at the National Rally !.
