Nice picture, but where is it? Looks like a tropical setting; colonial type building? --India, Ceylon? Number plate looks brit though. Screen seems a bit odd. Doubt if it's a survivor though, hope the chap was. Simon C.

I think the screen is a Morris 8 tourer fold-flat screen on a raised support.

Re the number 'X'A 3930. There were no 'X'A series running at around 3930 in 1932/33, so this could be a foreign number.

Looks like an RAF cap badge.

The RAF had a big presence in Singapore before the Japs took it. My wife Jayne was born there in 1959 when her father was there on Shackletons.

I have bought a copy for myself and the seller has kindly offered the information he has.
Other photos in the collection, indicate Newzealand and possibly army?

Our 1934 Fiat had the Malaysian reg B9670. The photo definitely looks "tropical" to me.
