I was going through my book case sorting books & came across an old newspaper "The Age March 22 1980" containing the AD for when K3002 was about to be auctioned.Unfortunately right where the ad is, is right on the newspaper fold & has not survived too well.

I've got a copy of that ad too - somewhere.
Sold for around A$75-80,000 if I recall correctly.
The buyer then swapped it for a Cooper Climax and everybody was happy.

Yes you are correct Bob. I can’t think of the woman’s name at the moment but it was swapped with Richard Berryman. As we both would remember well campaigned with the MGCC Victoria.

That would have been Len Lukey's widow.
She wanted Len's Cooper (owned by Richard B.) for their museum at the Phillip Island race track.

Bob, do you have any details of the Cooper...type.. chassis number etc? I am also in the Cooper Club and we like to keep a track where they all are.
Thanks,
Paul.

Hi Paul, I have no personal knowledge other than what has already been written.
I think that if you do a Google search for "Len Lukey" + "Cooper Climax" you will have many hours of reading ahead of you.
Len Lukey was a very famous driver in Australia.
Have fun.
