Hi Rod/Matt
Since the black Speedo in your panel is incorrect for an M type I could give it a good home. Obviously I don't want to tread on Matt's toes but that would potentially leave Matt clear for the Rotax panel itself if that suits

I'd be happy with that, but I'd still be after the oil gauge and Ammeter if thats ok |

That shed wouldn't be in Temuka would it?

Ok.
I will try and make contact with the owner and see if I can secure it. I am not an M type owner so I was not sure if it was an M dash originally but took 2 images just in case.
No not Temuka, but I have to think who has it now.

Hi, It is not M type, but Singer Junior. Identical other than the absence of the MG logo, different pressure gauge and different speedo. Well worth buying if the price is reasonable. Regards, Garry |

Hence my interest in the speedo as I own a 1930 Singer Junior as well as the MG!

There was an identical Singer Junior one for sale at Beaulie autojumble last September. It went for £350. |

Here are some further views of the Singer instrument panel.
And the M-type (non standard speedometer).
Some really good copies were produced in recent years but in very limited numbers.

In response to Malcolm Eades' excellent drawing of the dashboard, could I add that there is an ogee moulding along the lower edge. Secondly, is there a difference between the instrument panel on the coupe as opposed to the open car? My large box of bits came with two of many things. I suspect the alloy instrument panel was added when the car was originally "manxed" around 1959 and the other panel was added when the previous owner was gathering bits having decided to rebuild the car about 1970.
