The Register will be exhibiting at the annual Spares Day. It takes place at Stoneleigh on Sunday 10th February. Details are at http://mgandtriumphsparesday.co.uk/

As usual we ask for your support - here are some options:

1. Please attend the show!
2. Can you please offer an hour or more of your time? We expect to have some free tickets for helpers.
3. We would like to have two interesting display cars to exhibit. The word 'interesting' is open to interpretation, but if you would like to offer your car for display please contact Dick Morbey on richard dot morbey at gmail dot com for a chat and further details.

Thank you!

Does aloe have a cylinder head that we could exhibit on the Register table on February 10th? Part assembled would be fine.

Yes I have a restored M-type one fully assembled which you are welcome to exhibit, but I won't be able to get there early so would have to be collected from Oxon.

And I am sure that John E whose idea it was is very grateful!. Nigel, we'll contrive some way of collecting the head from you - and we should provide a chain to fix it to the table .....

Only a week to go now!

I have a small number of event entry wrist bands (=tickets) which are available FOC to anyone who wishes to help the Register by volunteering to help on our stand for a little while during the event.
We already have a good number of helpers, but the organisers have been generous this year with tickets, so if anyone would like one, please contact me asap and I will post it to you.

A bit late now (and probably nobody noticed anyway!) but shouldn't the title of this thread be 'The MG and Tr**mph and Spares Day'?

Just a note the thank everyone who supported the Register at today's Show. This included Chris Edmondson for supplying his delightful swept wing J2 and John Lomas of Blue Diamond/MG Automobile Company for arranging the owner's permission for the ex-Samuelson M type to be there.

We had much great from our team of volunteers and also good support and interest from very many visitors. New friends and old ....

(Even) with the outside temperature at 5 degrees it was rather rather cool in the unheated Hall 3. Maybe we should splash out next year for a few more creature comforts ...

A very enjoyable day and good to see so many old friends. I was particularly impressed with the ex Le Mans Samuelson M type, what a stunning car !

Thanks to all concerned.
