Pleased to advise my new carpet set from Tom Wilson in the USA fitted.
Found some red leather for the prop shaft as discussed in an earlier forum.
May be somewhere, can anyone help me with the spec, details and fitment on the thin ply panels that cover the footwell bonnet latches?
These carpet sets come complete with hardware and the two rubber heel mats, which is great.
Used the original firewall lift-a-dot pegs on mine so these are seen in the correct places.
Great to see the discussion from the earlier forum (last year) become a reality with a number of supply options now or pending.

Hi Donald,

Nobody seems to have responded re the ply panels you asked about, so here's Peter Down's drawing which includes them.

I've made them for my car and they certainly do the business.

Cheers,

Dave

Thanks very much Dave.
Always wondered how there will be room for one's foot on the accelerator, will give it a go.

Well Donald, I know what you mean! I have to wear narrower shoes than I normally do, but I don't think you will find that the draught excluder makes a material difference; it's only about 1/8 inch thick and, as you see, your side is recessed such that it's really about where the bonnet latch is. It's also smooth which means you can't catch your foot on it as you maybe could on the latch?
As an alternative for the driver's side you might want to look at the picture on this page using sheet metal.

To be honest I don't imagine it would make a lot of difference
Cheers,

Dave
