Is anyone able to identify the maker and model of this car?
It's in the background of a photo that I have.

I don't know but it looks like some form of Lea Francis

I did think it might be something along the lines of a Vauxhall 23/60, but the grill looks like it's slanting back a bit too much.

Definitely not a Vauxhall as it does note have the flutes on the bonnet.

Like Chris I think it could be Lea Francis?

Thanks to all for the responses.

Full marks for Kevin. I followed up on all the Lea Frances posts.
I wrote to the Pre 1937 Registrar of the Lea Frances Owners Club
and had an immediate response as quoted below.
I had presumed that the car in the photo didn't have running boards,
it looked to me as the ground had a white line or such.

"Yes, the car is a Lea-Francis. It is an S Type, Hyper Tourer with a Cross & Ellis fabric body. It is most likely a 1928 or 1929 car."
