I have recently taken over the guardianship of a J2, again and PA from my father. We all thought the J2 was a J2 but it transpires it is a J1 (j408) with an original J2 body (j3322), I think. I'm trying to get all the paper work correct before selling the car, again. Please excuse my ignorance but where is the engine number located? I couldn't see it anywhere. The plaque on the bulkhead is for the J2.
Any help welcomed.

The engine number is located on the nearside of the block on a small raised flat surface.
The number should look something like this.
The original engine number of J0408 is 1367 AJ

Hi Alastair, and welcome to the Forum.
This is a PA, but the J engine number will be in the same place, i.e. on the little square indicated by the arrow.
Cheers,
Dave |

Good morning Alastair and thank you very much for joining the forum. A warm welcome from us all!
In your profile you mention that you also have a PA. I could not immediately spot that in our register listings, so it would be helpful if you could please let us know which car that is.
Many thanks
