One for the keen historians! I seem to remember that Doreen Evans passed away (in the USA?) a few years ago. Can anyone confirm this and if so, when this was?

Doreen Evans died in California, April 1982, by then she was Doreen Phillips...

Slight correction to Graham's reply. When first married, Doreen Evans became Mrs Alan Phipps. Later in life she married again and became Mrs Boyer.

Just to be clear, the erroneous data found on the internet was taken from the book "Fast Women" and so it is not just the net that should be read with caution!
