The latest update (13.1.2) of iOS for iPads, now known as iPadOS, seems to have broken the ability to add a photo although exactly the same image can be added using an iPhone which would suggest that it’s not the wrong file format causing the problem, but something else.
Simon I will have go, but Apple makes up its own rules (see iTunes) as they go along, often in the name of trying to prevent file sharing. Do you receive any messages to give me a clue? Of course it might be a bug Nick
This is what happens when I try to upload a picture using the iPad.
However, I had to use my iPhone to upload the screenshot! P.S It’s years since I used iTunes - it’s not needed anymore and I’ve never connected an iPad to it!
Simon They have clearly changed the format of their image files (the meaning of the failure message). Would you please send an image from your iPad to my email address so that I can try and discover what format they are now using. Nick
Simon J J3437 P.S. in the past a screenshot was saved on the iPad as a PNG file and I would have had to run it through Photoshop Express to convert it to JPG for uploading. But it seems that the screen shot may now be JPG as I was able to upload it from my iPhone. There’s no easy way to tell on the iPad what the file format is.
