Hello Colin
I suspect the damage was caused by 'Garage not filling the new oil filter' after changing it' plus me driving up a steep hill after the 'service' ... I have to talk to garage a serious word of a possible participation towards the cost of repair (I am afraid 10+ K £). But I only might be able to do this if I can quote an expert which tells that such an oil filter refill is a must. You mentioned Ollie Richardson, is he the one or do you know an experienced expert for the PA's engine which I could contact
Thks in advance

The most important thing to learn Peter, is to be very wary of anyone claiming to be an expert. I have been changing oil etc in my MMM cars for 60 years and I would never entrust any work especially routine servicing to anyone else to do (except of course to proven marque experts such as Ollie Richardson !)

I always remember the old definition of an expert as follows :-

An ex is a has-been and a ‘spurt is a drip under pressure !
