Well yes , they are in decline.

Most though not all of those interested in MMM are 70+, Driving without synchromesh is an art.

The cars of the 60’s and 70’s are the growth area for those seeking an investment.

We are not Lagonda, Bugatti and Bentley.

So be it ... I like my MMM but recognise it as a depreciating asset. What is the value/price of enjoyment.

I just wonder if our cars are in decline or whether some sellers are asking too much? It would appear the car in question would need a lot of time and expense to get it into racing order?

I note that the PA and the very rare NB Cresta owned and enjoyed by our late Registrar Bob Clare were realistically priced and sold very quickly.

There was a very nice L1 rebuilt in the style of the L2 which took a while to sell but did sell once the sale price was reduced to a more realistic figure.

A well restored matching numbers car with steel crank etc should fetch more than a 70’s bitsa with some shiny new stone guards.
But for years everyone tried to get proper money for everything.
But now with the pandemic induced scare and the financial uncertainty of the big B looming people are more carefully with their money.

Which hopefully means people with less means can get into a scruffy triple M again and enjoy that.
Spreading the joy of triple M’s around

Well, slightly interesting on a cold wet day watching online. 10% commission and vat to add.

Merely to repeat that the Register engaged with the auctioneers to draw attention to various anomalies with both these lots. PA0216? Interesting number!

Just put MG PA into eBay search Dick. Pic of guarantee plate is omitted on the eBay ad. Wonder what the actual ID is?
