Rather different from my experience of the Nurburg Ring on the way back from watching the Italian Grand Prix at Monza in 1958 having just finished National Service. We were in my friend's 1953 Morris Minor Convertible (side valve) and doing the circuit was a painful experience, I think we were in quite low gear a lot of the time to make any sort of progress but great fun all the same!
