Guys

Well I never thought I would put my name and that of the current F1 World Champion in the same sentence!

Lying in my hospital bed and now recuperating at home I realised that within four weeks of each other the F1 Champion and I have raced on exactly the same piece of tarmac.

MG100 – 10/11 June 2023 – Triple M race (2) – Tim Sharp – fastest lap 3 mins 21.942 seconds – average speed 64.87 mph.

F1 British GP – 9 July 2023 – Max Verstappen – fastest lap 1 min 30.275 seconds – average speed 146.19 mph.

With tongue in cheek, comparing the cars:-

PB 0685, 1936, basically a standard bodied car which Blower says is 787kg. Engine is a James Gunn developed 939cc with supercharger which last read 95 bhp on the rolling road.

RB 19, 2023, highly developed technology, minimum weight 798kg. Engine RBPT 1600 cc with turbo hybrid technology, reputedly over 1000 bhp.

I could go on but won’t but I feel so privileged to even be able to make the comparrison. Thanks for indulging my drug induced ramblings.

Regards

Tim

Hope your recovery is good Tim.
I’d rather have your PB over a Red Bull any day
I wouldn’t trust him more than I could throw him, but would, and have, happily raced with you :)

Hope all well Tim.

I was thinking the same on the Parnell and the Kayne which I think were half the time of the RB at 3 mins a lap.

was a great weekend.

Not disappointed with my 3.22 in a 520Kg 65ish bhp D special either ;)
Keep up the recovery and share any other fun insights you have while you have some time to spare.
See you on track next year
