Hi , I am trying to locate a windscreen frame for my J2, I do have an original but it is in a bad state with numerous repairs and holes . I have been advised that it may be more viable to source another in better condition rather than trying to have It repaired. Any help or advice would be appreciated Regards Dave Mercer

Dave
A few years ago my J2 windscreen was virtually destroyed when my old garage roof collapsed upon it in the snow. I doubt your screen is in a worse state!
It was repaired by Wessex Workshops as I could not find a suitable replacement. A new top rail was made, all spare holes filled up and the wiper motor relocated. Wessex Workshops then had it replated by Derby Plating and fitted new laminated glass. The whole thing was a superb job, although comparable with the cost of a new screen (but then unavailable).
Both Wessex Workshops and Derby Plating are on the Suppliers' List.

This question has been answered on many occasions now on this Forum. Chris Glover of Brasscraft makes absolutely first class J type windscreen frames and ones which will custom fit your car
It may be worth Nick placing Chris Glover's details in the suppliers section
