Does anybody make or have the little brackets at the bottom corners of a J2 windscreen frame as I have now made 6 and can't get them right. I'm also looking for a tatty J2 hood to use as a pattern
The trick to getting them right is to bend the piece to the correct angle. Then clamp the widscreen corners so the corners meet squarely. Then mark the holes, drill and tap. Otherwise, the corners never seem to line up correctly.
Adrian, I have made 4-5 sets off these in the past few years for D & F2 windscreens. I have been successful but each and everyone tends to be unique to the frame. It also depends on how the glass is shaped at the ends and how the L pegs as I call them are protected. So all I can say is ... give it another go using patience and the eye.
