Can anyone on the Forum provide information on R.A.(Bob) Craig from Belfast or nearby and his KN Special?
Craig (from Jordanstown at the time) finished fourth in this KN Special in the Ulster Trophy Handicap Race with race number 28 on 10 August 1946, see attached photo. Does someone know anything about the identity of this car and how its history progressed?
Craig himself is seen again driving Graham's K3 in the Ards Airfield Race on 13 August 1949, and as a marshal in the Ulster Trophy Race on 12 August 1950. Further data on Craig's person would also be helpful, especially his last place of residence and finally his date of death.
Many thanks Karl

Karl, I’ll be putting a request for info on the elusive Bob Craig in the next issue of the Ulster Vintage Car Club Newssheet - may I include this photo? P.S. Maybe the KN was transmogrified into a K3? Simon J J3437 |

That single seater in the background looks like K3021 now in the Beer collection.

George.
As a matter of interest, last time I saw the Beer single seater it was fitted with an E.N.V. 110 close ratio preselector gearbox. What a shame we don’t see any of the Beer collection these days. Chris |

It looks like the radiator has been moved forward, and maybe its mounting cross tube.

A much better photo than mine, Karl. This should give our local vintage chaps something to chew on (I hope!).
