Yesterday at a brocante market in Bellême (Normandy), France I stumbled across an old 1930s registration plate "EG 1882", an original item judging by the typography and patina. It appears to (at one point) have belonged to one of the 7 NA Magnette Airline Coupes (perhaps NA 0655).
I was curious as to whether this beautiful car still exists? Most online photos of this vehicle date from the end of the '80s / early '90s. Any history would be very interesting.
The Registration number is for NA0655 which was superbly rebuilt and owned for many years by Colin Tieche. Perhaps the plate might have been swapped for a French Registration number?
I believe the car was sold some time ago and we do not have details of the current owner.
I have added the picture to the file for the car and hope that is ok.

George Registrar F/L/N types.
Hi George, thanks for confirming and great to add this to the car’s file.
I think the car ended up in Sweden but I have not heard of it for some years. I worked on it with Colin and drove it a number of times whilst he owned it and it was such a lovely car to drive. It handled beautifully and the engine and transmission, which one might expect to be fairly noisy in such an enclosed car, were incredibly smooth and quiet. A fine tribute to Colin's restoration and engineering skills. Terry
