A local J2 owner is looking for a new crankshaft to complete his engine rebuild. He isn't (yet) in the MGCC (why not?) Knowing the present difficulties with Phoenix I did say I would see if I could find details of that firm in the Netherlands that I believe can make an effective substitute at reasonable cost. Can any of our Dutch friends help on this? Many thanks, Simon C.

Nigel. Peter Green is our usual contact with Phoenix Crankshafts and he mentioned on this forum recently that the firm is changing hands or taking on a new owner. If you email Peter at <p.green@mgk3.co.uk> he should be able to give you any up-to-date news.

Nigel,

If you go to the Companies House website it will tell you that the Confirmation Statement for Phoenix Crankshafts (International) Limited is overdue (was due by 6th April 2019). This company was incorporated on 11th February 1986 and under the heading "Company Status" it states "Active - Active Proposal to strike off".

Phoenix Crankshafts Limited was incorporated on 18th June 2019.
