Does anyone know how many vertical lines of engine turning the ORIGINAL factory dashboads had, Also the number of horizontal turns. All modern repros appear for years to have c. 16 vertical and c. 75 across. However, if you look at the original manual then there are 20 lines and c. 98 across. We wish to get the small detail absolutely right.

I would be very interested to only hear from those with original MG factory dashboards as we are about to start engine turning these out to a high spec with laquered finish and made to order

Richard,

When doing the ones for the L type I tended to find it looked pretty good after the 5th whiskey when free handing the the vertical spacings.

cheers
