If 'NL' the issuing authority would have been Northumberland,

if 'ML' it would have been Middlesex.

The address of the first owner (hopefully the Guarantee Card is in the file) should give a pointer.

First owner was in Acton W3, which I imagine in ancient times was Middlesex, so it all points to a clerical error somewhere along the way, and DML 429 is correct.

Can you confirm that DML 429, that you are converting to a K3 lookalike, is indeed NA 0969. Thank you.

The brass-plate on the car at Peters Summer Gathering in 2013 showed the Chassis No.NA0969

Dear Gerhard- thank you for this confirmation that DML 429 was indeed NA 0969.
Perhaps the Register can now keep track of this car in what ever guise it ends up.
