Hi,

Would anyone have any clues as to which car this is at Brooklands? The photo is from the Brooklands Society Photo Archives. Looks similar to K3004!

If anyone has photos of K3004 they would be willing to share I would appreciate that. Also any information on a Mrs C. Corbett-Fisher the owner of K3004 from September 1937 and the H. Stuart-Wilton who is listed as the driver of the car.

A Mr May, from Weybridge owned K3004 from 1943 to 1950 any info from this period would also be appreciated.

thank you
ross kelly

Nothing new there I'm sure but it's the danger of open ended questions

Hello, Ross.

Your photo taken at Brooklands ( 1st picture ) is the K3 owned and driven by Billy Cotton the bandleader. His mechanic at the time was ‘Wilkie ‘ Wilkinson.

Best regards,

Chris.

Hi Ross,
Please look at my query (in my posts) posted some time ago, about an original pic. I have from this car probably taken in the 1940's but until now I'm still very anxious to know who's at the steering wheel???
Rgds,
Roby

Thank you Kevin, Chris and Roby for the replies.

From what you have said I have been able to find some additional photos of K3004.

I have been trying to fill in the gaps from when the car was purchased by Mrs C Corbett-Fisher to when it was purchased by Jim Gullan.

Unfortunately Roby I have no idea who the driver was in the post you referenced.

Attached is a photo series of changes to K3004 over time.

cheers
ross

Cheers,

Chris.

I had exactly the oposite idea.
What a lovely special body did it have in 1957!
Is that body still around?

The special body is one of those manufactured in the late 1950s for Ford/A7 specials. Very pretty (after Maserati?) but not as nice as the original!

Graham

That special body reminds me of the NA that often pops up at Goodwood. Different but I rather like it! Nichols body or something??

That’s Geoff’s car, Mark! ‘George’ on here, just three posts up from yours in this thread! There’s a yearbook article on it too, don’t recall which year though. Must say I thought the same thing as Onno did and love the ‘fifties Birdcage look of K3004, but Geoff’s N-type wins for me!

Didn’t one of the Musketeers sport that same sort of body in the ‘fifties?
