This was a great event as always, well organised by the heroic Bruce Weston and his team.
However, where were all the MMM drivers?

VSCC Loton Park was on near Shrewsbury (they always seem to be on the same w/e) but that's not a major factor. It's not many years since we had getting on for ten MMM drivers competing, so it is such a shame that this great hill isn't getting a better entry from our sort of car. The hill does really suit MMMs.
Why doesn't it attract more entries?

Hi Brian, I have to say its a great event. The issue is not specific to MGCC Wiscombe.

Very busy few months on the race calender, coming up to the final events.

That weekend with Loton which was a 2 day meet (Separate events) and a big spectator event at GWD! We have had Mallory, GWD Sprint, Prescott , Etreat etc all recently. Plus many prepping for a big run out at Snetterton. Some cars not running this late in the season due to attrition as well. Money running out!

So Probably the racing resurgence has dented some of our entries at speed events.

I d love to have a big MG speed event on the Triple-M calender, but the question is how to we squeeze it in, we all have so many options just cant do it all. But its certainly something we are exploring and Wiscombe would be perfect.

Hi Brian,
you guys certainly made up for the lack of quantity by great variation in entries between you. Your J2, Andrew's 4 seater L1, Jeremy's single seater J, and then the big 6 cylinder single seater as well. The Triple-M entries stole the show for many! The pictures on the Register's Facebook page speak for themselves and hopefully some might find their way into Safety Fast and or Bulletin all attempting to help raise our / the profile
