Hello, Nick and Forum.
I was unable to get onto the Forum today for a long period up until this afternoon.
I am wondering if the problem was widespread or was it just me ??

The forum software threw a spurious error and the server locked it out. The server folks reset the error and restarted the program and all seems well again. There was nothing sinister in their report. Apologies to all for the outage. Nick

Nick, It wasn't your fault, so you should not be apologising, rather the apologies should be from the server outfit.

Bruce Was not their fault at all, something in the program had a wobbly and caused the error. My contact responded almost immediately, checked for any external problems that might be the cause, found none and got us going again. So I say, big thanks to them for their excellent service. Nick

OK, but if immediate issues are forgiven - then if it's "something in the program" ..... has the program/software been fixed?

Bruce We have been running basically the same software since 2003 and this is the first time this error has appeared. Who knows why - not I. Since the other parts of the website were working alright, in all probability this was simply a glitch. Nick
